Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom - A Phone or a Camera?  Stepping one pace forward, Samsung recently announced a new product in the smartphone-camera hybrid range, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom. It would not be wrong to call it half phone and half camera, where both the halves include all the features of a camera and a smartphone. After the successful launch of its smart cameras range, it is the next step in the direction of innovation by the company.

The Galaxy S4 Zoom comes loaded with extraordinary features which one would never normally find in a hybrid. When looked at from the front, it is a full featured Android smartphone that includes most of the features of popular smartphones by Samsung; whereas from the back, it is a fully loaded 16 megapixel camera offering a catchy 10x optical zoom.

The device features a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display with capacitive touch screen. The display offers 16M colors at a resolution of 540x960 pixels and supports multi-touch input. The device is able to perform at lightning fast speed with 1.5GB RAM and a Dual-Core 1.5GHz Cortex-A9 processor.

To accommodate all the user data, the Galaxy S4 zoom holds a total of 8GB internal memory, out of which 5GB is available to the user. The storage capacity can be drastically increased as it supports up to 64GB of external memory via a microSD card. It runs on the latest version of Android i.e. 4.2 Jelly Bean, which makes the gadget work like a charm.
One of the most attractive features of the gadget is its powerful 16 megapixel camera. The camera has lots of easy to use features including autofocus, touch focus, 1/2.33" sensor, geo-tagging capabilities, face detection, smile detection, image stabilization etc. It can take you far into the distance with its 10x optical zoom, supported by Xenon flash lamp. The camera supports panorama mode and can record full HD 1080p videos at 30fps. The device also features a 1.9MP secondary camera that supports video calling.

Gone are the days when you clicked your pictures with a camera and connected it to your PC for sharing the pictures with your friends. The Galaxy S4 zoom has on board LTE (4G) and Wi-Fi connectivity features which let you begin sharing your pictures with your friends on the go.

Despite the fact that the device is bulkier and has larger dimensions than most advanced smartphones out in the market, it offers much more advanced features than any other device can offer.

According to the Samsung CEO and Head of Mobile JK Shin, this device would bring out the "best of both the worlds, without compromise". The company has not yet announced the exact launch date or price for the gadget but it is expected to be released in early Q3 this year.
